COUNTRY’S COOL AGAIN.
WELCOME TO
Heel Hook Line Dancing
Heel Hook Line Dancing started in Ballina in October 2019, with just one class a week, and moving online during lockdowns.
Line dancing is making a comeback, and we now dance 4 days a week, along with a 3-hour monthly social held on Saturday morning.
Our classes are popular with all ages, ranging from 20 - 90years, with a variety of dances to modern country rock and a few pop/country classics.
Come along and give it a go! We all started as the new kid, and we LOVE to see new faces in class.
The benefits and enjoyment definitely outweigh the initial nervousness of joining a class for the first time !

All types but mainly modern country rock / pop. Think Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, Jordan Davis, then a bit of Ed Sheeran & Elton John. A few classic remixes and everything in between. It’s really a great mix to suit everyone.

We are a social group and dance for fun! There are definitely opportunities to go to other Northern Rivers dance socials as a group but these are also fun & social. If you are wanting to compete also, we can put you in touch with groups that do.

Meet Your
Line Dancing Instructor
Hi, I’m Bec!
I started line dancing in 2017 in Alice Springs, and ever since I’ve been two-stepping to my favourite modern country rock songs.
Returning to my hometown of Ballina in 2019, I was inspired to continue my line dancing journey, but couldn’t find a local class, so I started my own.
Named after the steps from the famous line dance ‘Copper Head Road’ – the first dance I ever learned – Heel Hook Line Dancing was born.
Years later, I’ve seen hundreds of newbie line dancers come to class, finding their dancing feet (even when they believed they ‘couldn’t dance’) and having fun doing it.
When I’m not line dancing, you’ll find me running our local family business, snuggling my dog Tilly, or learning new dances to teach you all.
I can’t wait to see you at class!
